RENEWALS

Those language assistants who wish to renew for another year and receive the letter of acceptance while in Spain, should contact the Oficina de Extranjería (Foreigners Office) in the city where they are living to seek their advice regarding the renewal of their student visas.

• How to apply for a renewal To be updated 2025-2026. Please consider:
  • You can only apply for a renewal if you are already a language assistant in Spain through the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
  • If you are a language assistant in Spain through a different program and you want to become a language assistant through the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, you need to apply as a new candidate.
