Abstract

Evaluation research the curriculum to take the degree of Master Specialist in Physical Education in the Teacher Training College of Albacete in the University of Castilla-La Mancha.

The current educational reform undertaken in Spain and its present process of implementation have involved the adoption of an educational philosophy different from the old one, at the same time it has become necessary to train a teacher staff to give an answer to the new demands of the educational system. On the other hand, the new speciality of Master established in Primary Education, which is the Specialist in Physical Education, meant a change that could not go unnoticed by those who have the responsibility of its training. Since the documents that point out that teachers are the key for the success of the educational reform are different, it is the time to analyse whether the initial training of teachers is actually in accordance with the premises of such reform. These are the pretensions that this article, which refers to the evaluation research of the curriculum of Physical Education in an university institution, aims to solve.

Resumen

La actual reforma educativa llevada a cabo en España y su actual proceso de implementación ha venido a suponer la adopción de una filosofía educativa distinta a la anterior, a la vez que también la necesidad de formar un profesorado que diera respuesta a las nuevas demandas del sistema educativo. Por otro lado, el establecimiento en la Educación Primaria de una nueva especialidad de Maestro, cual es la de Especialista en Educación Física, suponía una novedad que no podía pasar desapercibida a los ojos de los que tienen la responsabilidad de su formación. Pues son diferentes los documentos que vienen a señalar que el profesorado se convierte en pieza clave para el éxito de la reforma educativa, de ahí que es el momento de analizar si realmente la formación inicial que reciben los profesores es acorde con los planteamientos de dicha reforma. Estas son las pretensiones que intenta solventar el presente artículo, que hace referencia a la investigación evaluativa del currículum de Educación Física en una institución universitaria.
