Language Assistantships for Filipinos in Spain 2025-2026

Please be ready at least 5 minutes before your interview time and have your passport and your certificate of Spanish (only DELE A1 or SIELE GLOBAL A1). Applicants who do not comply with the requirements cannot be considered for the application process.

• For the 2025-2026 school year intake, Filipinos can apply for all regions except Navarra, Cataluña, Ceuta and Melilla.

• You can check the DATES AND FEES of the DELE EXAMEN in 2025. Also, please be aware that the result of the exam takes about three months to be published.

Information on renewals for school year 2025-2026

Filipinos can renew their position as a language assistant in Spain for a maximum of two academic years, regardless of the region or program.

• Profex 2 Handbook for Renewals Please, take into account:
  • You can only apply for a renewal if you are already a language assistant in Spain through the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
  • If you are a language assistant in Spain through a different program and you want to become a language assistant through the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports you need to apply as a new candidate.
• To apply for a renewal, it is necessary to attach:
  • Informe del centro de destino (School Evaluation Report)
  • Health Statement and Statutory Declaration

TIE card considerations

• If the language assistant renews another year in the program, it is necessary to renew the TIE in order to legally reside in Spain. Once the letter of appointment is received, the application for TIE renewal can be submitted.
• The language assistants should go to the Oficina de extranjería (Immigration Office) in the city where they reside for advice on the renewal of their TIE (application form and deadlines).
• Pending receipt of the new TIE, it is possible to leave Spain upon request of a return authorization at the Oficina de extranjería (Immigration Office).

For the visa application, the Apostilled NBI Clearance and Medical Certificate need to be translated in Spanish.
