Abstract

The meaning of efficacy: an element for understanding the motivation behind teaching.

This article stresses the thinking of teachers focusing on the educational context and it studies teacher satisfaction, their wish to remain in the field of teaching and the subsequent motivation, which has an incidence on new ways of teaching and innovating. A teacher's sense of efficacy is linked to contextual variables that not only have an influence on their work, but also on the collaboration with pupils as the context for their sense of efficacy, on the one hand, and on the relationship between the sense of efficacy and the conduct of pupils and teachers, on the other hand, together with the strategies that allow an improvement of that "sense of efficacy."

Resumen

Se presta especial atención al pensamiento del profesor centrado en el contexto educativo y se estudia la satisfacción del docente, sus deseos de permanecer en la enseñanza y la motivación consiguiente que incide en nuevas formas de enseñar y de innovar. El sentido de eficacia del profesor está relacionado con variables contextuales que influyen no sólo en la dimensión laboral, sino también en la colaboración con los alumnos como contexto en el sentido de eficacia y, por otra, las relaciones entre el sentido de eficacia y las conductas de alumnos y profesores junto con las estrategias que permiten mejorar "el sentido de eficacia".
